2020 THEME – What it’s all about…

I DON’T CARE! … Sometimes these 3 words are of no reason for concern. Where do you want to eat for dinner? “I don’t care” is generally the response most families hear. When does this phrase become a concern? When is not ok to not only say “I don’t care”, but to actually start living and acting upon it? We are faced with a whirlwind of horrific media reports which paints a disturbing picture of our youth today. Mass killings, pregnancies, disrespect to authorities, LGBT movements at younger ages, vandalism, school bullying, revenge attacks, drug busts, social media gossip, coveting, the list goes on. Our youth have less respect for our country, our society, their own bodies, and their spirituality more so than any generation before it in America. They are infected with this mindset. And even more frightening is many of their lifestyles, responses, social media pages and actions tell us… “They don’t care”… even if they know God is watching.

Let's Talk

Our Small Group Break Out Sessions this year is more than just listening, it’s about more talking. We want discussion about the things going on in our youth’s lives centered on important topics and led by Godly instructors using God’s word to answer, provide solutions, and build a foundation upon which they can rely. It’s an opportunity for their peers to see they are not alone in struggles. You are not going to want to miss this! Let’s Talk.

Brandon

I was born in Pulaski, Tennessee in 1975 and raised at the East Hill congregation, obeying the Gospel at age thirteen.  In 1994 I married my high school sweetheart Jade, who is originally from Tupelo, Mississippi. Together we have two adult sons, Reese, who presently lives in Tennessee, and Kase, who is my co-worker and associate minister. My wife and I enjoy traveling, cooking, music, art, reading and sports, as well as getting to know new people through conversation.
